GFI participates in the 2012 Tree-Athlon

Last Saturday the GFI team dragged their week weary bodies to down to a bright and lively Battersea Park to support the fabulous initiative Tree-Athlon, organised by Trees for Cities.

While our video production team stood by to capture the events of the day unfolding, our runners enjoyed an upbeat warm up with 80s pop-star Sinitta, which included a catchy Zumba dance.

Some ran, some walked, some even took part in the barefoot 100m in the hopes of setting a new world record, but the overall day was met with great enthusiasm and acted as an effective team bonding event.

The Tree-Athlon drew in over 700 runners and to date has raised over £40,000, which will go towards funding the growth of over 5,000 trees in areas that most need it.

Check out our day at the charity run and the stills we managed to snap throughout the day.
